Just when you thought you’d seen all the cool stop motion vids..
So a couple weeks back i got the opportunity to go to El Teide volcano in Tenerife Spain, will post more pics over the coming days but here’s a few to get things rolling..

The above shot is taken from the side of the road on the way up to the volcano, maybe an hr from the summit, the shot is above the tree line, above the cloud line, gets a bit dizzy if you looked at it for a while, El Teide is 3700m above sea level..
Above, looking out the van window to the cliffs and drops was often pretty ferkin amazing.

After a really long drive, the volcano appears.. its tough to explain but the volcano is resting within a caldera, so you drive for ages getting higher and higher into this massive bowl, then as you reach the summit, you see El Teide inside and realize how much higher still you have to go..
At the foot of the volcano.. Jesus says no go?..

After the cable car ride up to the ’summit’, its time to head up on foot..

40mins walking later, still not close, at 3700m above sea level the air is a lil scarce and walking becomes a wee bit harder..
Reach our summit…. turn around to see what all the fuss is about..
One last look over the shoulder on the way back.. .. .. more soon come.
So the last couple days i’ve just been busy with work, it never ceases to amaze me no matter how bad a state everyone syays the economy is in, people still need to buy Apple products. So, yeah, a day or two ago i popped into Frith Street Tattoos to see the man Xam for a consultation on my next piece, to be fair the news wasnt that great but i was half expecting it, the tatt i want cant be done in the space i want it to be done, so re-designing is needed, back to the ‘drawing board’ methinks… arse.

Took a walk around Soho for the next hr or so, popped into Borders, peeked a whole bunch of travel books and mags (more on that later..) then walked backed through Soho to Bond Street to pick up the wife, ended up seeing Jude Law twice on my travels, it was a nice sunny day and he was getting merry outside a pub, speaking of which, this is how they do in London now that you cant smoke inside public venues, to be fair, this is how its always been done in the London, a bit of sun and everyone thinks they’re on the french riviera…

Ah, and just cos its Easter and there’s choc bunnys everywhere you turn, Lindt the chocolate makers decided to throw up a lil maze inside Westfield right outside my workplace… well, why wouldnt they?..

A hazy end to pleasant day in London..

So yesterday, taking advantage of no protestors clogging up the streets of London, i decided to pop out for a wee walk, had to visit the homie Sina at Nike for a spot of lunch. Its a pretty new store, nice size and caters mostly for ID business.

After eating a rather bland pub burger (chips were nice though) i walked passed the Stussy store on Earlham street to find it ‘boarded’ up, closed, finished for business, down the drain, times are hard, Footpatrol dead, Stussy dead, Bape dead (but soon to return under new management so says word on the street) only Hideout remains, maybe JD Sports can make a better go of things than Gimme 5.

And whilst speaking of doom and gloom i also took a stroll past MHI, closed for business too, i’m kinda sad Maharishi didnt make it through these hard times, some of their stuff was so on point, craftsmanship and attention to detail was often next level, alas opening up the streetwear division MHI in a building hidden away from everywhere was not perhaps the wisest of moves, add to that costs of gutting out and rebuilding the whole site, and a line which never really took off … the book keeping was bound to catch up with them eventually.
On a lighter note, here’s a pic of my cat hiding under the covers away from the noisy builders outside…

Now this is the sorta shit the internet was made for, every now and again your faith in the interweb is restored when you find cool stuff like this. So yeah, head over to http://marvelkids.marvel.com/create_your_own_superhero and have yourself some fun, just think of NikeID but for Marvel Superheros, you can choose 3 body types, it lets you pilfer from 5 established characters taking what bits you like aswell as bitsNbobs from a whole bunch of generic characters (you can also colour in), i lost over an hr of my life to this but couldnt settle for any designs, so in the end i just made an amalgamation of loads of characters as all my own personal ones ended up looking.. well… gay.

.. oh yeah, when you hit up the site i recommend you register first, tis all free, takes 1min, and you’ll be able to save your creations but better still it gives you access to Marvels ‘extensive’ desktop wallpaper collection, i shit you not, they have like 1000 hi-res wallpapers of every character/title, check out the Frank Castle with the sniper rifle, yeah, he knows what time it is..
